Good morning
--Morris Mandel
When I first read this, I dismissed this as not too important, but later I started thinking about it and guess what? It is very powerful. It is terribly hard to put off doing something you should not do. That is where the fun is, doing things we shouldn't do.
To put off eating a bag of chips, a piece of cake or a bunch of BBQ'd ribs until tomorrow is unthinkable. Can I do it? I am going to give it a shot and if I don't succeed the first go around, I will try again. Will you join me?
A virtual hug,
Bonnie
Hello
It is a beautiful day here in Jalisco. The roosters are crowing, the doves and cooing and all is well.
"God writes a lot of comedy....the trouble is, He is stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny."
I came across this quote and wanted to share it with as many people as possible so I am putting it here, with the hopes that everyone sees it.
I think this world would be a much better place if we became actors who could play funny better. We would have sooo much fun and enjoyment. So much more laughter too. Why don't we try it? I am going to try to "play funny better".
A virtual hug and have the best day possible
Change
Why are so many afraid of change? I love it. It is exciting.
"Change. It has the power to uplift, to heal, to stimulate, surprise, open new doors, bring fresh experience and create excitement in life. Certainly it is worth the risk."
-Leo Buscaglia
Is that quote not fantastic? Even changing the order of meals will brighten your day. Even something as mundane as changing the sheets on the bed has such a wonderful effect.
I am going to change at least one thing everyday. No matter how small, a change is good.
Another quote for the day
" Intuition is the supra-logic that cuts out all the routine processes of thought and leaps straight from the problem to the answer. " By Robert Graves
It will take a lot of effort for me to trust my intuition enough to accept it as an answer to a problem but I am willing. I feel as long as I am willing to try, I will grow as a person.
Quote of the day
Nature gave us one tongue and two ears so we could hear twice as much as we speak.
- Epictetus, philosopher
I came across this quote today and it made me stop and evaluate myself again. Somewhere I read that a friend (a good friend) is a person who knows how to listen. A goal for today and everyday has been added. To use my tongue and two ears to their fullest.
